A natural moustache is any length of hair grown above the upper lip and
underneath the nose, with no styling products permitted.
Acceptable
styling methods to be used with a “natural” moustache include brushing,
combing, conditioning, shampooing, and minor trimming.
The moustache is the only facial hair permitted in this category: no “goatees”/van dykes, musketeers, etc.
Moustache Styled
A styled moustache is any length of hair grown above the upper lip and
underneath the nose, styled with any product, into any shape possible.
All styling aids are permitted.

A natural partial beard is any facial hair that is neither a full beard or a moustache, with no styling products permitted.
Common styles include Natural Goatee, Van Dyke, Musketeer, Sideburns/Mutton Chops, and the Alaskan Whaler. Those with more creative styles are encouraged to enter into the Partial Beard Styled category.
Acceptable styling methods to be used with a “natural” partial beard include brushing, combing, conditioning, shampooing, and minor trimming.
A styled partial beard is any facial hair that is neither a full beard or a moustache, styled with any product, into any and every shape possible.
All styling aids are permitted.
If your partial beard doesn’t fit the criteria for the Natural category, this is the one for you.
A groomed full beard is a full beard, with all parts of the beard and
moustache grown, expertly
brushed, trimmed, and generally maintained, with minimal styling products permitted.
Acceptable styling methods
to be used with a “groomed” full beard include brushing, combing,
conditioning, shampooing, and trimming. Products should be limited to refinements for overall moustache and beard shape.
A natural full beard is a full beard, with all parts of the beard and moustache naturally grown, with no styling products permitted. This category is the facial hair flagship: big, beautiful, and wonderful.

with a “natural” full beard include brushing, combing, conditioning, and shampooing.
Full Beard Styled (Freestyle)
A styled full beard is a full beard, with all parts of the beard and moustache grown, styled with any product, into any and every shape possible.
All styling aids are permitted.
This category includes the free design and creative styling of the beard. This is all
about using that hair on your face to make the craziest thing anybody
has ever seen. Go big, go real big, go crazy big and crazy wild.
All full beards that do not qualify for other categories may compete here.

The audience will choose among the winners from all the previous categories to determine whose facial hair is the Best In Show.
